Thankfulness on Thanksgiving

Thankfulness

What are you most thankful for?

I could make a list a mile long…I love lists! But if I’m answering my own question…it’s the people who’ve been a part of my life.

Friends that I don’t see regularly, but the minute we’re together it’s like I saw them yesterday.

My kids. Funny, hardworking, smart, silly…my loves.

Old friends that I lost contact with. I left home when I was 18 and I didn’t look back. I left them. I didn’t see until much later that I was running away. I’m sorry for that, but so thankful that we’re together again.

For the people who hurt me, I’m thankful. I learned important lessons.

For the people I don’t know who have helped to change my life. Authors, Musicians, Songwriters, Speakers…I listened and although you may not know it, you helped me change.

For my friends who have always been there for me and loved me, even when I was in the dark, I’m thankful.

For my family, I’m thankful.

For Poody, our terrorist cat. I know he’s not a person, but he doesn’t know! He makes us laugh.

For the people who have passed, like my Mom, I’m thankful. I still hear her voice. I miss her.

And for the people who were only briefly in my life but taught me amazing lessons, I’m thankful.
